The role
As an Administrative Assistant in the Sourcing and Origination team at Algrano, you will play a vital role in keeping our daily operations running smoothly. Your work will support the Sourcing and Origination team, and will help us deliver a high-quality service to our users. You’ll draft shipping instructions and contracts, coordinate shipping services, improve automating internal processes, assist with communication, and manage spot offers and related payments to producers on the platform.
This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone highly organized, proactive, and excited to be part of a mission-driven team transforming the coffee trade.
Your main tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Drafting of documentation: Assist with preparing contracts, drafting shipping instructions and consolidation outlines.
- Shipping service coordination: Qualifying new leads, managing initial outreach by sending introductory materials and presenting our shipping service to potential prospects.
- Spot Offers Maintenance: Keep spot coffee offers on the platform up to date and liaising with producers for payments.
- General Admin Support: Support the team with various administrative tasks that help move shipping deals forward.

Clear, confident communication is one of your strengths: you know how to deliver messages effectively, present ideas in a compelling way, and you’re not afraid to pick up the phone to move things forward.
Your profile:
- You’re organized and detail-oriented—you like keeping things on track.
- You’re a strong communicator and not afraid to pick up the phone or deliver a compelling presentation.
- You’ve had your first exposure to the coffee industry and are excited to deepen your knowledge of sourcing, logistics, and operations.
- You’re confident using Excel or Google Sheets and eager to learn CRM and reporting tools.
- You’re proactive, resourceful, and enjoy working independently in a remote setting.
- You’re fluent in English and in either Portuguese and/or Spanish.
