The African Fine Coffees Conference & Exhibition (AFCA) is returning to Addis Ababa this February, and 2026 is different.
Algrano and AFCA are officially joining forces.
We have partnered with the African Fine Coffees Association to build stronger, more sustainable connections between origin and the market. Our shared goal is simple: to give producers better access to global buyers and give roasters the chance to engage directly with the people behind their coffees.
To make this happen, we aren’t just attending; we are bringing the market to you. The Algrano team is traveling with a delegation of more than 20 people, including roasters from the USA, UK, Germany, Spain, Greece, and Denmark.
Here is how you can connect with them, hear their honest feedback, and get your coffee on the table.
Algrano Agenda at AFCA 2026

Webinar: Make every roaster meeting count at AFCA
Register here!
- When: Tuesday, January 6th
- Time: 1pm GMT+1
In this session, Algrano will share what we’ve learned from over 10 years of working directly with roasters in Europe and the US so you get real value from your AFCA meetings.
This will be open to any producer, even those who haven’t shipped with Algrano before. It’s a simple way to get your coffees in front of roasters and start conversations that can continue after the show.
Panel Discussion: Why do roasters find it harder to buy directly from Africa?
Add to your calendar!
- When: Thursday, February 5th
- Time: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
- Location: TBD
African coffees are some of the most sought-after in the world, yet many roasters still feel that buying directly from Africa is more "distant" or complex than other origins.
In this honest conversation, we are bringing roasters and exporters together on stage to talk openly about why that is and how to fix it. We will discuss:
- Roaster POV: Why they perceive high risks or barriers to entry.
- Operational reality: Tackling bottlenecks like consolidated shipments, financing, and late contracting.
- Building confidence: What roasters actually need to see to commit to a long-term contract vs. a one-off purchase.
