Via Algrano's online marketplace, coffee farmers can effortlessly promote and sell their coffees directly to roasters in Europe and the USA. Algrano provides the online (marketplace) and offline infrastructure (logistics, insurance, financing).

With the support of a robust investor network, our vision is to become the premier platform for direct coffee trading globally.
The role
Producer Engagement Manager LATAM, you’ll play a key role in our growing Sourcing & Origination Team, where you’ll work together with Vanessa, Addisu, Thais, Juan and Gio. Here we coordinate everything origin-related, from producer onboarding down to shipment execution.
This year our marketplace for verified sellers turned 10! Historically this has been the meeting place for entrepreneurial producers and roasters to start their direct relationships. The initial concept from 2015 evolved, and in June 2025 Algrano took another step and opened the platform to like minded producers looking for a new operational partner, someone to handle their contracts, sampling, logistics or financing and support their existing relationships.
In this role, you’ll share Algrano’s mission and drive producer acquisition, converting them into long-term partners and users of Algrano’s supply chain services. You’ll be responsible for building and managing the sales pipeline, discovering new partners, delivering pitches and meeting targets.
Your main tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Acquisition: You’ll present Algrano’s shipping, market and financing services to producers, handling complex commercial negotiations and converting leads into customers. You’ll deliver against producer acquisition and revenue goals in the assigned region.
- Events: You’ll be Algrano’s presence in coffee events around the world. You’ll share the word about our mission and transparent services.
- Origin presence: You’ll be on the ground, understanding producers needs and aligning these demands with our product.
*Please note that this position requires considerable travel.
Your profile
You are a coffee professional, preferably with origin experience, and a good producer network already engaging in direct trade. You understand the producer’s perspective, so you are naturally looking to present Algrano to as many producers that can benefit from our services.
You have great interpersonal skills and meeting people excites you. You are happy to call, organize meetings, learn from others and propose solutions. At the same time, you are very organized and at the end of the day you enjoy looking at data in order to propose improvements to processes and your performance.
You are commercially driven while equally deeply believing in Algrano’s mission and want to grow in a company that’s purpose driven.
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree—or equivalent hands-on experience
- At least 5 years of experience in the green coffee industry.
- You have a strong producer network already engaging in direct trade and a deep understanding of their commercial challenges.
- You have proven commercial/sales experience: you are a skilled negotiator, you understand contract terms, Incoterms, differential pricing and fixations.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
- You’re an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build long-term trust.
- You have proven experience in CRM tools.
- You have proven experience in remote work,
- You enjoy travelling to coffee events and have the ability to be away from home to attend multiple events in a year.
Bonus points for:
- Portuguese language skills
- Knowledge of specialty coffee on a regional level.
We are a fully remote team, based in Brazil, Ethiopia, Spain and Germany, but we do get together a few times a year in Zurich or in coffee events around the world.
