Description
We have set ourselves an ambitious goal: to revolutionise the centuries-old coffee trade industry. Our technology makes coffee trade transparent and digital. Through the Algrano online marketplace, coffee growers promote and sell their coffees directly to roasters without worrying about the details of logistics, financing, and quality assurance.
Awarded at our launch in 2015 and then again in 2022 as the best innovation by the European Coffee Industry Association, we currently count more than 1’000 sellers and roasters from all over the world. Backed by a strong investors' network our vision is to become the key direct coffee trading marketplace.
The Role
As a Roaster Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for engaging with coffee roasters across Europe, sharing how Algrano’s platform can transform the way they source coffee. You will serve as an ambassador for our mission, connecting with quality-driven and transparency-focused roasters, and providing your insights and expertise to help shape the future of coffee sourcing. By enabling relationships between roasters and growers, you change the supply chain of coffee and ultimately the living conditions of the people producing it.
Reporting to the Acquisitions Lead, Christy Ma, and working closely with the Sales and Marketing teams, you will contribute your creativity and strategic inputs to shape this new function. At the same time, you will work in a data-driven and organised way, in order to effectively scale our acquisitions efforts.
The ideal candidate should be a confident communicator on the phone, in video calls and in-person. They should be willing to travel around Europe when required.
Your responsibilities include:
- Company Ambassador: Serve as the face of Algrano, representing our brand and mission in all interactions. Articulate the value proposition of our platform and services in a compelling and persuasive manner.
- Client Engagement: Identify and engage potential clients, understanding their needs and challenges, and demonstrating how Algrano can address them. Foster strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Sales Process Adherence: Help shape and follow a sales acquisition process meticulously, ensuring that all steps—from initial contact to final onboarding—are executed with precision. Work within the framework to deliver a consistent and high-quality experience for every potential client.
- Value Delivery: Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities where Algrano can add value to their business. Present tailored solutions that align with their goals and enhance their operations.
- Market Insights: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities. Use this knowledge to inform strategy and identify new opportunities for growth.
- Continuous Improvement: While adhering to our sales process, contribute to its ongoing refinement by sharing feedback and insights with the team, aiming to enhance our effectiveness and efficiency.
